Day Tour at Burot Beach, Calatagan

Visiting Burot Resort in Calatagan became an idea when Julius and his officemates decided to have a summer get away. They have planned it to be during lenten season so I have anticipated crowded beach! I remember cursing what happened to us in Nagsasa Zambales last summer of 2014 and I've denounced what we experienced and declared that would be the last.

Since we're in the verge of financial difficulties and torn between paying debts or just going out of town , I insisted and we decided to joined them. So yes, in less than 1000 pesos each, we had a day tour and visited this popular beach! Less guilt on spending money out of financial difficulties. Anyways! I just wanted to feel the vibe and was curious why it became popular to backpackers and campers.

We spent less than 1000 each because we're in a group.YOu may do so if you travel alone, but it depends on how you travel. No rooms available on the resort. I am not sure as well how you feed yourself during out of towns. Do you want a luxurious or just a laid-back-tipid-backpacker style of travel? Your call! Indeed, it's really cheap here because there's no cottages and hotel. You really don't have a choice but to pitch a tent. Just bring your own food. : )

Aside from staying and camping on the beach side, you may also rent a banca and haggle to your boatman to tour you on 3 attractive spots in calatagan : The sand bar, starfish and snorkling area. Again, mas madame mas makakatipid. Calatagan owns this beautiful spots , but I was disappointed on starfish area, I saw a few. Not too many. That sand bar and snorkling area are good. Ang sarap magbabad : )

Sharing these few pics from Burot Calatagan last year. I wasn't able to get good shot from shore of Burot kase ang daming tao but we really enjoyed Island tour and it filled up our day.

Shallow part of sand bar area where kids would enjoy playing under the sun! Few starfish was seen also on this area. Aliw lang!
Lots of these in Burot, you better wear your slippers!

GoodMorning Julian!
Morning tampisaw at Burot! I advise you to wear slippers, just to be safe!

Even if during high tide, you will enjoy the main stretch of the beach. I recommended this if you have kids with you. Waters are shallow compared on Laiya San Juan. Just google how to go to Burot , I cannot provide details as we rented a van and travelled night time. Actually , I am not good on giving directions. Ciao!: )

Trekking in Taal

''The world’s largest island within a lake on an island within a lake on an island.''

So confusing right? But i got chance to visit and joined Bridgetone's Mountaineering Society climb to Taal. It so happened that one of my office mate was part of that Org and so fortunate that we participated and experienced the beauty of this tiny Island within a Lake . : )

I am fascinated on mountain climbing but i didn't have means of enjoying this hobby. Haha! This was my second climb. First was in Mt. Talamitanm in Batangas that i surmise won't fit for a beginner like me ( Or maybe the trail that we took was difficult than the other trail )

After riding a boat from town of Talisay ,It took us 4 hours and 30 minutes to finish the climb. Some tourist rode a horse but i guess, it's much better to trek to maximize the thrill of going up. My few steps was difficult, I experienced shortness-of-breathing, maybe its because i am not used to on this activity ,but continuing and motivating myself to go on walking was really worth-it! Haha

I love this view while walking! I've felt so motivated. Haha!
Ok fine! That's me selling M&Ms while trekking. ( I don't have a backpack that time so i was in-the-mood on using that M&M's bodybag . Of course, teasers and mockers are everywhere, haha! )

STOP OVER

This man loves to carry stuffs when we resumed, since he knew that we're beginners, he willfully asked for our things and seems enjoyed on carrying those. Unfortunately, this admirable man.. yes.. his name is Glenn, died on a certain sickness 2 years ago. I only met him once but i've got a hunch on what kind of person he was. You could see the positive personality on him within the time that you 're with him. I noticed that he's fond of Old songs too. Too bad that we haven't got a chance to have few chats together. I know it's too late to say ''THANK YOU GLENN'' for carrying my stuffs. I indeed, appreciated your effort!'' (sigh! )
Volcanic Smoke that contains Sulfur coming out from the soil
..and we're almost there!
We're here. Time to cook our food!
BRIDGESTONE MOUNTAINEERING ORG
I super like the soil's color
Since I cannot look directly down to the crater, so my feet did and became a hashtag-selfeet (#Selfeet)
We're not allowed to climb down near the lake itself . The caretaker told us that over those sulfuric smoke coming out near the lake, you may be able to cook an egg. So we just enjoyed the view.
I still managed to take a pose near the crater, wrong move for me then i'l be drop dead! Haha!
The thrill has not ended , it 's been an adventurous bumpy ride going back to Talisay . THe lake wasn't calm and we're wet all over. We also stranded for a few minutes and needed to transfer to another boat. :)

Blue Coral Resort, Laiya, Batangas

We are booked in Sabangan Resort, however, my work mates first option was in Blue coral , because of their amenities and since no barriers was there, we easily pass through neighbors resort including the elite Aquatico resort. To make our stay enjoyable as possible, we went there and drink, a few shots of wine and cocktail drinks : )

LIBRE DAW NI BOSS!!

BLUE CORAL BAR SECTION

OUR FIRST ORGASM... oops, i mean, OUR FIRST SHOT! ORGASM! :)

Mr.Bartender gave me a free drink for this one ! That drink caught my attention because of pieces of gold floating inside. At first, I hesitated to accept that free drink not for anything else , but for a thought that i am swallowing a piece of GOLD! Edible naman daw e!hehe :)

CHEERS gerls!

Sabangan Resort, Laiya, Batangas

Sabangan Resort lies in between Aquatico and Blue Coral resort in Laiya Batangas. The atmosphere is so quiet and serene as if you are on a Retreat Seminar ( compliment right? if you really wanted a Quiet vacation ), unlike, Blue coral is so lively and I had ad impression for Aquatico as rented for those who wanted to have a Wedding Reception. These beaches are having the same shore ,so the advantage once you get there was , you can go and visit the other Resort since no barrier was placed on each of them .

I wont blog on how much we spent since this was a tour planned when Boss Tom wanted to have a vacation here in Philippines , so as usual , it was ALL EXPENSES paid. We rented rooms for an overnight stay , food was provided and of course our shuttle van was rented too ! So again,, who am i to resist.. hehe

So here... i blog and share pics i got when we stayed there :

Fortunately ,there was a Wedding Reception happened on Aquatico resort so we've spent our night on the shore and witnessed the band playing . There were Chinese Lanterns on the sky and fireworks too!
